City Garden Design
Venue: Cambridge University Botanic Garden
This one-day course with garden designer Dawn Isaac will equip you with the basic tools you need to survey and plan your own city garden. It will include a look the particular challenges common to city gardens and the design tricks you can use to combat them. There will also be inspiration and ideas for elements to include in your own garden as well as practical advice and information on landscaping the space, including cost implications of different materials and garden features. The day will also look at plants suitable for a city garden and give you advice on putting together a simple planting plan.
Participants are encouraged to bring photographs and measurements of their own gardens so that specific design challenges can be addressed as part of the course discussions.
