MR BLOOM’S NURSERY

Since 2010 Dawn has acted as horticultural consultant on the award-winning show, Mr Bloom’s Nursery which involves coming up with gardening topics and themes for programmes as well as ensuring all horticultural content is accurate and easily understood by a young audience .

Set in a colourful, fertile allotment run by the green-fingered Mr Bloom (played by Ben Faulks), Mr Bloom’s Nursery combines live action and puppets to show how young children can learn from the experience of nurturing plants and vegetables.

In each episode a team of young helpers or ‘Tiddlers’ come to the allotment to help Mr Bloom tend his plants and produce.

LOVE YOUR GARDEN

Dawn and her garden were featured on the ITV Alan Titchmarsh show, Love Your Garden (July 2012) to demonstrate how a child-friendly outdoor space is created.

GARDEN RESCUE

Dawn appeared in an episode of BBC1’s Garden Rescue in 2017 talking about the essential elements of a successful family garden design.

GARDENERS’ QUESTION TIME

Dawn has featured on GQT commentating on the Chelsea Flower Show 2012 as well as leading a feature on the RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden in the GQT programme from Suffolk which won National Radio Broadcast of the Year 2011 (Garden Media Guild Awards)
